Common questions
- What does a $500 Google Cloud security audit actually include?
- A review of five areas: IAM and identity (least-privilege analysis, service account keys, org policy, Workload Identity), network security (firewall rules, VPC Service Controls, Private Google Access, Cloud Armor), logging and monitoring (Cloud Audit Log coverage, log sinks, alerting, Security Command Center status), data protection (KMS rotation, Secret Manager adoption, encryption at rest and in transit) and compliance mapping against CIS GCP Benchmark v2.0, SOC 2, HIPAA and PCI-DSS. You get a prioritised remediation roadmap, not just a findings dump.
- Why is it $500 when other firms charge five figures for a cloud security audit?
- Because the rate covers one senior engineer doing the work rather than a project manager, an account manager and a delivery lead alongside them. We only work in Google Cloud, so there is no ramp-up period billed to you either. The scope is fixed and published rather than scoped in a sales process.
- How long does the audit take?
- Read-only review and reporting typically complete within five business days of access being granted. Remediation, if you want us to do it rather than hand it to your team, is scoped separately.
- What access do you need to run the audit?
- Read-only access is enough. Typically the Security Reviewer and Viewer roles at the organisation or project level. We do not need permission to change anything to produce the report.
- Is this useful if we are a small team or still pre-revenue?
- Yes, and it is usually the cheapest moment to do it. Fixing an IAM model or a VPC design before you have production traffic is far less work than retrofitting it afterwards. If you are earlier still and just trying to control spend, start with our free guides on the free tier and budget alerts.
- Do you fix what you find, or only report it?
- The audit itself delivers a prioritised roadmap your team can act on. If you would rather we implement the fixes, that is done through GCP Admin as a Service hours, starting at $3,500, or as part of a Cloud Foundations engagement from $5,000.
